A big thank you to Peter Craft for his £500 donation
November 24, 2012
We would like to say a big thank you to Peter Craft who has generously donated £500 to the IWCA Athletics Club.
Peter, seen here presenting running spikes bought using some of his donation to Shawn Merry and Andrew Craft (the son of Peter's nephew), is very much an integral part of our club. He routinely gives up his free time to drive us to events and is a regular feature at races, alongside his wife Angela, cheering our runners across the finish line.
The IWCA AC is run by volunteers and is completely self-funded, so Peter and Angela's on-going support (and that of our other regular driver/club photographer, Phil Merry) makes the difference between our youngsters being able to attend events or not.
Unlike many community groups we have no staff costs, so any donation goes to benefit our young members directly. Peter's gift has already helped us to supply running spikes to lads who would otherwise have had to face well kitted out cross country runners, wearing their road running trainers. So well done Peter and thanks very much.
