After watching Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre, I stayed the night in London so I could do another new parkrun location. After little sleep and with a banging headache I finally managed to convince myself to get up, I had not really decided what parkrun to do, but just that I wanted to do a new one in London (so that ruled out Oak Hill, Southwark, and Mile End parkrun).
In the end, I opted for Finsbury Parkrun, as I decided I prefer it to the next few nearest new parkrun locations to my hotel at Moorgate; I thought Highbury Fields has too many laps (5 in total) and Ally Pally obviously not flat and is mixture of tarmac, grass and probable lots of mud(I am sure I will do both of them in the near future) too awkward for not feeling my best. So that was it, I made my mind up, Findsbury Parkrun.
It was easy to get to on the national rail from Moorgate. The route itself took two anti clockwise laps round the eastern side of the park, up and down a hill nothing like Gasington nor Radnage, children's play area and past the running track and the boating lake. The run I took easy as I was not feeling 100%, which ended up finishing in 23:23 despite doing the first mile 20 seconds than my fastest lap last week (it was down hill too be honest). I had never been to the park before but I it hosts quite a few music festivals, so I had quick look around afterwards and it had some nice specimen trees.
