Well done to senior team today, had a long morning cycling to Oxford Parkrun, and completing it then cycling back.
Especially how it was all worth it, when Peter Wright Achieved his much needed PB after coming 1 second out 2 weeks ago! He sought revenge on the course and took no chances this time coming 7th with a time of 18:56, the first of our senior/young adult team to reach sub 19 minutes, but still 4 seconds away from Peter Brackett who sits at the of top Club ranking position for Oxford Parkrun.
Well done to Stuart Craft for flying around the course, looking much stronger than before, coming 38th in 21:24, 50 seconds of his PB but stronger than his recent Parkrun events.
And well done to Mark Franks coming 77th in 23:07. Great team effort today from all three, who all had a little trouble getting to sleep last night while keep waking up every so often!
Peter Wright Takes part in his second Spartan race in Stroud, Gloucester this Saturday. The "Super" as they call it is a 13k Course with 20+ Obstacles. He's aiming to complete it under 1hr 30min but its bound to tougher than the "Sprint" which was a 7k course. This will be his second of 3 races he's looking to do to earn the "Trifecta" medal, Wedge thirds earned from each spartan distance that make up a medal, he still has to complete the "Beast" later on in the year which is 20K! All the very best to him!
